Job Description:
A/V Volunteers provide in-room entertainment to all inpatient families utilizing our internal CCTV ChannelGaming volunteer at Primary Children's Hospital
Physical Requirements:
Current shift needs are as follows:
Mondays 12:00pm-3:00pm
Tuesdays 12:00pm-3:00pm
Wednesdays 12:00pm-3:00pm
Thursdays 12:00pm-3:00pm
WE WILL NOT CONSIDER YOU FOR ANY OTHER SHIFT.
Gaming volunteers help with all gaming program operations. The main purpose of gaming volunteers is to interact with patients in the hospital, either in-room or virtually from a location within the hospital. This includes playing video games with patients, watching patients play video games, or even discussing video games with patients.
Gaming volunteers also assist in other department tasks and responsibilities such as:
Handling gaming system support calls Streaming games on our internal CCTV channel Updating Xbox, Switch, and Oculus account/system settings Distributing and collecting gaming devices and accessories to/from rooms Other projects and efforts related to maintaining, enhancing, and growing our program
Experience in some of these tasks is recommended but not required. Shifts are 3 hours in length. Volunteers sign up for a three hour shift each week, the commitment is for 6 months or 80 hours.
Some shifts may be full and not adding additional staff at this time. Volunteers will be selected based on availability and qualifications.
