Volunteer Services Coordinator
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:** Coordinates, monitors and evaluates Volunteer operations for the Medical Center, which includes the junior volunteer program, adult program, shadow program, pet visitation program and teddy bear program. Responsible for onboarding and retention of volunteers including, recruiting, interviewing, orienting, training and educating volunteers. Works with the regional director to develop and manage volunteer policies, procedures and standards of volunteer service. Oversees daily services provided to the hospital by unpaid volunteers, ensuring that customer service areas are adequately staffed. **SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** Bachelor’s degree required. 5 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Two to three years of supervisory experience required, preferably in a health care setting. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. Coordinates all volunteer functions including but not limited to interviewing, onboarding, training, orienting, scheduling, educating and coaching. Develops policies and procedures for volunteer services. Organizes and participates in volunteer recognition programs and special events. Develops, promotes, and maintains a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the organization. Works with the regional director to develop volunteer programs to support operations at Eagle Health Plaza & Meridian Health Plaza.
