**Schedule:** Full-Time
**Shift:** Days - Monday- Friday - 8am - 4:30pm

**The role you’ll contribute:** The coordinator of Volunteer Services is accountable for effectively and efficiently coordinating the volunteer services. He/she are responsible for recruitment, screening applicants, assuring educational requirements are achieved.

· Assures volunteers and staff are in compliance with annual mandatory education and health screening requirements.
· Demonstrates competencies and knowledge to coordinate the volunteers in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
· Participates in the development of budget for volunteer services.
· Effectively communicates with staff and the volunteers seeking active participation and input.
· Exhibits professionalism in actions, appearance, attitude, lifelong learning and ethical behavior.
· Interviews, selects, evaluates, delegates and motivates volunteers.
· Is trustworthy and as a result is trusted in relationships with others
· Meets the expectations of the JCAHO and other regulatory agencies regarding volunteer services
· Recommends proper number of qualified volunteers and assures initial and ongoing competencies.
· Shares meaningful information with other volunteer.
· Supervises and supports the activities of volunteers
· Manages volunteer recognition in terms of service awards and other meaningful ways of recognition.
· Responsible for managing and reporting volunteer’s hours, posting positions and orienting volunteer workforce.
· Responsible for organizing/creating Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, Christmas Luncheon.
· Provides supplemental support to the office of mission and ministries for Spiritual Ambassadors as well as other mission programming where appropriate.
· Supervises and supports the activities of volunteers
Qualifications
**The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed** **:**
**REQUIRED:**
· High School Diploma
**PREFERRED:**
· Minimum of two to three years' previous experience in jobs working with people
· Basic computer skills
