Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Program Manager for Volunteer Services / Mission Services is primarily responsible for managing and enhancing all aspects of the volunteer program. This includes recruiting, interviewing, and placing new volunteers, as well as coordinating their attendance of orientation sessions. The role is pivotal in maintaining detailed volunteer records, including personal information, scheduling, health records, and awards. The Program Manager also ensures accurate tracking and reporting of volunteer hours, coordinates special assignments, and supports volunteer retention efforts. The Program Manager is also responsible for the growth and development of the volunteer services program. In addition to volunteer management, the Program Manager contributes to the creative development of Volunteer Services programs and events, and conducts information and outreach sessions for prospective volunteers. The position also involves supporting mission education and formation initiatives by coordinating ministry leadership programs, managing participant registration and rosters, and facilitating ongoing learning and development opportunities through in-person and online sessions and assisting with Chapel Operations.This dual role enhances the overall mission of the organization by integrating volunteer services with leadership development and mission formation activities.Qualifications
Minimum:
Minimum of 5 years experience in a health care or educational setting required.Experience in development of Volunteer Services programs.Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent education and experience required.Preferred:
