Volunteer Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

The Volunteer Specialist recruits, orients, and supervises volunteer functions within the hospital. Volunteer Specialist performs a variety of other related tasks, following established policies.

2 years supervisor experience

Ability to handle confidential information.

Ability to maintain professional appearance and decorum at all times.

Ability to provide leadership and guidance to co-workers/volunteers by problem solving, resource management, and outcome achievement.

Ability to demonstrate a healthy work environment by modeling the desired behaviors and encouraging those in others.

Demonstrate the ability to cope and manager change, as well as help others do the same; and has an understanding of management issues.

Ability to deal effectively with community/consumers.

Ability to interview.

Proficient in basic computer applications, such as Word Processing, spreadsheets, and internet usage.

Demonstrate capability to conduct one's self in a calm and professional demeanor when dealing with the public and/or with difficult situations.

Demonstrate the capability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

Ability to effectively direct and supervise the Gift Shop(s).
