VP, AFI Marketing
The Marketing Vice President is an executive leadership position responsible developing, planning, and executing strategic marketing initiatives that support business growth, expand market share, and strengthen brand equity and reputation in support of the company’s vision, mission, and enterprise goals. Delivers digital experiences to customers across a variety of touch points to support growth goals and increase customer engagement and loyalty. Provides agents with tools to promote their businesses in alignment with regional and national level marketing plans and campaigns. Collaborates across the company to ensure integration and proper representation of the brand in business decisions. Primary Accountabilities Key Functional Accountabilities (50%) + Defines and delivers a differentiated brand value proposition to support growth and retention. + Provides strategic oversight of brand and consumer marketing strategy and execution. Reviews creative content and messaging for alignment to the brand and marketing platform. + Understands the role of the agent and the company’s service proposition and its value to the customer. + Develops marketing plans using knowledge and understanding of the business and company culture. + Develops digital and web strategy to deliver an innovative and interactive experience across all digital touch points. + Develops strategic alliances, partnerships, and affinity relationships as a way to promote company products. + Identifies brand ambassadors to help carry the company’s message forward and engage with customers. + Analyzes marketing opportunities and problems from a broad perspective; anticipates and plans for reaction of others by knowing our customers. Strategies Linked to the Corporation's Business Goals/Results: (20%) + Routine networking with other vice presidents and senior management involving corporate-wide strategic challenges and varied strategic concerns and issues impacting the business plan. + Provides solutions to anticipated and unanticipated business needs by considering the total picture for divisional strategies. + Demands a grasp of American Family's varied business environments which are constantly changing as well as internal corporate culture, structure, and other processes in order to make effective decisions. + Divisional mission, strategy and plans are established, communicated and understood. Initiates specific programs in the various areas. + Works with reporting functional units to develop and review current operational plans, objectives, and tactics with division`s organizational plan. Management/Leadership for Operating Areas: (20%) + Demonstrates a personal commitment to diversity in staffing, training, development, retention and other processes. + Supports and administers corporate fiscal and human intellectual capital practices. + Provides ongoing direction, instruction, support, and freedom to act for direct reports based upon level of experience and knowledge. + Requires a detailed knowledge of how each reporting department operates. + Manages human intellectual capital effectively to attain and maintain competitive advantage. Corporate Governance: (10%) + A set of accountabilities driven by interdependencies that exist among all the executives and officers for managing American Family Insurance. It is an integrated approach involving Vice Presidents who are accountable for corporate activities which reflect favorably in interactions with legislative bodies, communities, employees, agents and customers.
