Job Description:
**Role Summary/Purpose:**
Reporting to the SVP, Brand, the VP, Brand Management and Integration, this role is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies to strengthen Synchrony's market position, enhance brand equity, and drive awareness and growth. This role ensures that all brand initiatives are guided by a clear and cohesive strategy aligned with the company's vision and objectives, creating an impactful presence across platforms and communications.
This individual will collaborate extensively with platform and department leaders to ensure their initiatives are informed and shaped by the overarching brand strategies, fostering alignment and consistency across the organization. By partnering with cross-functional teams, this role will ensure these strategies drive engagement, elevate the brand, and deliver measurable outcomes. This role will also partner with various teams across the business on testing initiatives that will optimize brand building while also driving performance.
The individual must be a skilled communicator (both written and verbal), capable of influencing others to adopt a 'consumer brand mindset' while maintaining a balance between our partner business (B2B) and building a consumer-facing brand (B2C).

**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Collaborate and partner closely with marketing, sales, product development, and other functions to ensure cohesive brand strategy, messaging and processes that support an exceptional customer experience.
+ Work closely with other marketing teams to guide the execution of platform specific campaigns to ensure they are consistent with the brand strategy.
+ Partner with the Market Insights team and other VOC teams to analyze market trends and consumer insights to proactively refine brand strategies and maintain competitive positioning.
+ Serve as a thought leader and brand champion, fostering alignment and engagement across the organization.
+ Mentor and develop a team, fostering a culture of creativity and strategic thinking, goal-setting, performance tracking, coaching, and engagement.
+ Ensure all brand initiatives align with the company's vision, objectives, and strategic priorities.
+ Advocate for a balanced approach that supports both partner-focused (B2B) objectives and consumer-facing (B2C) brand growth.
+ Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of brand initiatives and report progress to senior leadership.
+ Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
**Qualifications/Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school equivalent and 15 years of brand strategy experience AND
+ 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, or related positions, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful brand initiatives.
+ 5+ years of experience in a senior brand strategy role.
+ 5+ years of experience effectively working with cross-functional teams in a large company
+ 3+ years of experience in credit cards, banking, and/or a regulated industry.

+ Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
+ Collaborative team player with experience and successful track record working in matrix environment with cross functional teams.
**Grade/Level: 14**
The salary range for this position is **150,000.00 - 250,000.00** USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
**Eligibility Requirements:**
+ You must be 18 years or older
+ You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
+ You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
+ You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
+ New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
