Title: VP, Branding & Strategic Partnerships - Music

Location: New York, NY (Full Time, On-Site) 

The Role:

Roc Nation is looking for an experienced, accomplished and results-driven commercial and brand sales executive to close business and generate branding and endorsement revenue for multiple tier one music artists in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for a strategic sales/partnership professional with experience negotiating and closing large, branded content and endorsement deals between talent/events and top advertisers.

The incumbent should be a strategic thinker and have a successful track record in the endorsement and partnerships space and be a self-starter that can hit the ground running by leveraging their existing network and relationships. The ideal candidate has the ability to attain and exceed revenue goals in this very competitive and high-growth space, while building relationships with major global brands and their agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, structure, negotiate and close revenue-generating commercial endorsement deals between music artists and brands

Generate significant revenue in support of Roc Nation’s developing music clients

Focus on an ever-changing list of artists and initiatives, and close deals on short timelines

Develop creative partnerships and sponsorships with stakeholders

Achieve annual goals and assist in overall implementation and evaluation of this plan on an ongoing basis

Cultivate existing partnerships into wider deals that support multiple clients

Open doors at the world’s top companies and agencies

Give full scope Roc Nation capabilities presentations and implement effective strategies to attract clients and sponsors

Manage ideation process and delivery of multi-platform endorsement packages for clients and sponsors

Persuasively sell ideas and sponsorships to agencies, clients, etc.

Ideate and develop custom integrated solutions in response to RFP’s from National Advertisers and prepare toolkit offerings for sales to proactively bring to market

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required

10+ years of experience in sales, prospecting and fostering partnerships with brands on behalf of talent through consultative selling

Background at a music label (brand partnerships), talent agency (endorsements/branding), media company (branded content) or management firm is preferred but not required

Demonstrated track record developing and maintaining relationships with multiple divisions and company leaders to ensure appropriate communications and a coordinated approach to maximizing successes with clients

Proven track record and success in meeting and exceeding revenue targets

Strong creative sales strategist

Demonstrated capability of self-direction and motivation; Ability to meet deadlines under pressure

Adept at brand coverage and able to maintain a consistent pipeline of new opportunities

Strong written/oral communication/presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively

A clear understanding of the importance of client service is required

Thrive in a collaborative team environment with goal-oriented culture

Willingness to travel, as needed

COVID-19 vaccination series and booster shot are a mandatory requirement for this position.

The expected compensation for this position is:

$200,000.00 USD - $250,000.00 USD

** Pay is based on several factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
