VP, Business Development


PRI is looking for a talented VP, Business Development to join our growing team. We have offices based in NYC and Paramus, NJ and offer flexible work from home options.


Job Overview

The VP, Business Development role will drive new business development efforts across the PRI Healthcare Solutions portfolio by identifying opportunities to partner with pharmaceutical and biotechnology client teams to develop and drive impactful strategic program solutions for Brand Marketing, Medical Affairs and Scientific Communications.


Roles and Responsibilities:

Identify business opportunities with key players at targeted major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

Ideal candidates must have industry specific experience with a medical communications or medical education company along with strong client relationships.

Develop educational strategy, presentations and customized proposals for customers based on their objectives, desired tactics and budget parameters.

Develop and cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs).

Business growth and development, managing relationships within accounts, industry KOLs and a keen sense and ability to deliver on client’s expectations, goals and projects is essential. Building and expand existing relationships with Product/Brand Managers. Liaise with client and staff operations team to define expectations and meet business targets.

This position requires an individual with strong communication skills (both written & verbal), outgoing, professional and able to interact with clients at all levels.

Successful background selling compelling, effective scientific programs (advisory boards, slide deck development, speaker training, pre & post launch initiatives, innovative digital programs, live events, to name a few).

Excellent organizational, strong leadership, client relationship skills with a focus on meeting client expectations, excellent judgment, reasoning, and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a “team” idealized company.


Extensive travel is required to client meetings and conferences domestically and internationally as the business dictates. Must be able to travel overnight on a regular basis.

A competitive compensation package

This is a competitive base salary + commissioned sales role.  The salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, skill level, functional and/or industry knowledge, education level, certifications, as well as other qualifications.
