OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position requires an attorney with at least 12+ years of relevant transactional experience, which ideally includes television distribution and/or FAST distribution experience and product counsel experience at a digital media company, as well as management experience. The successful candidate will be a diligent and proactive individual with excellent business judgment and critical thinking and contract drafting skills, and with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a collegial, fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead attorney supporting the day-to-day operations of Pluto TV in the US and internationally.
- Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including device platform and other distribution agreements, content acquisition agreements, marketing agreements, vendor services and fintech agreements, and review and advise on related partner onboarding and marketing asset review.
- Become an expert on Pluto TV and provide risk-based legal guidance to support consumer product innovation.
- Handle and supervise other attorneys supporting Pluto TV.
- Coordinate with stakeholder partners (including cross-functional, cross-regional, and specialist teams, including other legal teams) to share context on product and legal strategy, ensuring the effective management of stakeholder needs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 12+ years of attorney transactional experience including television distribution and/or FAST distribution experience
- JD degree with excellent academic credentials and global law firm experience in corporate law or commercial transactions
- Admitted to the California Bar
- Supervisory experience
- Excellent negotiation skills

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $225,000.00 - 255,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
