**The VP, Data & Insights – Life Sciences will spearhead the development and execution of strategies to maximize the opportunity of CVS Health's data and insights to create better outcomes in the pharmaceutical landscape for Life Sciences customers. This forward-thinking leader will enhance the value of our insights, analytics and product offerings by leveraging the CVS Health enterprise in new ways to support the advancement of knowledge and impact in the pharmaceutical industry and Life Sciences companies across the healthcare value chain.**
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Strategic Vision:** **Establish and drive the strategic vision for the pharma data segment, aligning with CVS Health's mission and strategic plan to enhance market position.**
**Collaborate:** **Partner across the organization to mobilize the data strategy across all parts of the CVS Health Organization including digital, technology, and pharmacy operations**
**Market Intelligence:** **Utilize market intelligence and customer feedback to shape the strategic plan and refine pharma data-related products and services.**
**P&L Responsibility:** **Own P&L for the pharma data & insights segment, ensuring consistent growth and delivering expected business results.**
**Organizational Strategies:** **Develop and implement strategies leveraging data insights from competitors, market dynamics, and industry trends to expand the organization's influence.**
**Customer Focus:** **Develop strategies addressing individual customer needs to improve product portfolio and support the voice of pharma as a customer.**
**Market Trends:** **Maintain extensive knowledge of the pharma data segment to anticipate and plan necessary investments.**
**C-Suite Communication:** **Advocate for pharma data and insights needs with C-suite leadership, recommending product, pricing, distribution, and cost strategies.**
**Team Development:** **Mentor and grow the team into a cohesive, highly productive data group to drive meaningful advancement of the data and insights offerings.**
**Qualifications**
**Approximately 12-15 years of experience in data & analytics strategy and management within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.**
**Proven ability to build and execute large-scale strategic initiatives with significant investment and solid return on investment**
**Proven experience with commercialization of data and insights that considers both the technical and practical implications of these initiatives**
**Experience partnering with digital and tech teams to establish and manage product suites and sales and account management teams to support customers**
**Extensive experience in creating data strategy, sourcing, and management of Patient/HCP/other datasets**
**Experience in building Insights & Analytics capabilities**
**Extensive experience leading data acquisition strategy and partnering with IT to implement technology solutions to support product portfolio**
**Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and team-building skills.**
**Ability to lead change effectively and apply a systems approach to problem-solving and process improvement.**
**Strong business and financial acumen**
**Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.**
**Proven ability to operate complex, large-scale matrix environments.**
**Proven experience influencing senior leaders and matrix-stakeholder groups**
**Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and team-building skills.**
**Ability to work East Coast hours and travel to meeting when appropriate**
**Education:**
**Bachelor's degree**
**Masters will be valued**
**The typical pay range for this role is:**
**$220,000.00 - $320,000.00**
**This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed** **above. This** **position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.**
