This posting has been extended beyond the initial anticipated closing date.JOB SUMMARYThe VP, Engineering- Connected Home CPE will oversee a team of engineers, software developers, and testers focused on designing, testing, and scaling WiFi solutions and CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) for residential and commercial customers. This role is responsible for driving technical innovation and operational excellence in CPE software, delivering high-quality, reliable, and secure products to enhance the customer experience. Delivers product roadmaps and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of projects in alignment with strategic company objectives. Fosters a culture of innovation and collaboration, maintains a robust engineering process, and leads cross-functional efforts to enhance product performance, reliability, and security.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide technical leadership for the complex CPE platform: decisions, implementations, and optimizations, and lead a team of software developers and testers to deliver CPE software, both embedded and cloud, in support of broadband customers.Enhance existing software delivery practices through innovation, automation, and application of carrier best-practices.Establish and maintain strong relations with internal partner organizations, including product management, network operations, field operations, customer operations, and emerging technology; collaborate closely with the executive team, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and budgetary status, as well as aligning engineering initiatives with broader business objectives.Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the company’s CPE solutions remain at the forefront of innovation, delivering tangible value and competitive advantage.Create and effectively manage carrier-scale budgets and negotiate carrier-scale contracts with third-party vendors.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSRequired Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to align systems, programs, and people with the company strategy and cultureAbility to lead large, multi-layered technology teamsAbility to serve as a visionary leader, think strategically, and anticipate future needs and trends with respect to relevant technologiesAbility to lead large change, complex projects and initiatives, foster teamwork, and build a strong culture of collaborationAbility to perform financial business planning and forecasting for a large departmentAbility to communicate effectively across all organizational levels and to prepare and present presentations to senior executive audiencesUnderstanding of the company’s business operations and business units and competitive environmentProficient in developing, deploying, and operating CPE software and systems at scale from major ecosystems (e.g. RDK-B, PRPL, Plume, OpenWRT)Competent in automating and optimizing test cases for embedded and cloud systemsCompetent in release management, including developing & operating tools and systems that provide scalable and flexible techniques to target feature and capability deployments to customersCompetent in radio frequency (RF), network systems, and cybersecurityRequired Education Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or other related engineering or technology fieldRequired Related Work Experience and Number of YearsEngineering work experience – 10 yearsLeadership and project management experience – 7 yearsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPreferred Skills/Abilities and KnowledgePreferred EducationMaster’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or other related engineering or technology fieldPreferred Related Work Experience and Number of YearsExperience overseeing the development of large customer scale technology solutions with progressive increases in responsibility and leadership – 15 yearsWORKING CONDITIONSOffice environment with flex options. The base pay for this position generally is between $174,300.00 and $290,300.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
