About the role:

The Enterprise Data Science & AI Leader at Gartner is a pivotal role dedicated to enhancing data quality through innovative, programmatic, and algorithmic solutions, driving the development, deployment, and continuous optimization of data science models. This leader will own Gartner’s firmographic and demographic algorithms, focusing on improving the accuracy, completeness, and enrichment of enterprise, account, and contact data. They will leverage internal and external data sources, including third-party databases and open datasets, to deliver a comprehensive and enriched view of organizations and contacts. These improvements in data quality are foundational for providing precise, actionable insights to Gartner’s clients. Additionally, the Enterprise Data Science & AI Leader will prioritize and develop high-impact AI use cases while establishing rigorous standards for model performance, accuracy, and scalability to ensure alignment with Gartner’s strategic objectives. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, this leader will set a high bar for Gartner’s data science and AI capabilities.

What you’ll do:

Data Quality & Enrichment through Algorithmic Solutions:

Lead data science and algorithmic initiatives to elevate the quality and depth of Gartner’s data assets, ensuring high accuracy, reliability, and completeness standards.Take ownership of firmographic and demographic algorithms, leveraging internal data and external sources such as third-party databases, open datasets, and verified sources. Use these algorithms to continuously refine and enrich enterprise, account, and contact data for more significant client impact.​

Data Science & AI Model Development and Deployment:

Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI models that drive data quality improvements, supporting Gartner’s strategic goals and maintaining data integrity across its platforms.Ensure models are robust, well-tested, and capable of integrating new data sources seamlessly to keep pace with evolving business needs.

AI Use Case Prioritization and Strategic Alignment:

Identify and prioritize AI use cases with the greatest potential for impact. Collaborate with senior leaders to align AI projects with Gartner’s strategic objectives and operational priorities.

Model Accuracy, Performance, and Scalability:

Establish and enforce rigorous standards for model accuracy and scalability. Develop automated testing, validation, and monitoring processes to ensure deployed models maintain high performance and adapt to changing data conditions.

AI Risk & Ethical Considerations Management:

Implement frameworks to address AI risk and ethical considerations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and ethical guidelines. Maintain model transparency, fairness, and bias mitigation oversight across all AI projects.

Data Science & AI Standards and Best Practices:

Develop and institutionalize best practices for data science and AI development, deployment, and monitoring. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence in data science and AI initiatives.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Engagement:

Build strong cross-functional relationships to embed data science and AI solutions across Gartner’s business units. Engage with data governance, IT, and product teams to integrate programmatic data quality enhancements and align on strategic goals.

What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management, or related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.15+ years in data science, AI, data governance, or similar roles, with demonstrated experience in algorithm-driven data enrichment.Expertise in developing and managing data science and AI models, particularly with firmographic and demographic data.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic alignment on data science and AI initiatives.Proficiency in data science tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and experience with platforms that support model management and enrichment.Comprehensive understanding of AI ethics, risk management, and industry compliance, with experience implementing best practices for transparency and accountability in AI.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 160,000 USD - 217,350 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
