As the Vice President of Finance (Americas), you will provide strategic financial leadership for a complex, global manufacturing organization. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee FP&A, Operations Finance, and Americas Finance leaders, guiding the finance function to ensure robust support for growth, profitability, and adherence to regulatory standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional senior leadership, champion best-in-class finance practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the region.
You Will:
Collaborate with Business & Operational Leaders: Establish regular meetings with senior leaders to align financial goals and strategic objectives, linking financial insights to business decisions and growth strategies.
Oversee Budgetary Control: Evaluate financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and profit enhancements; recommend improvements for budgeting processes and expenditure reviews.
Facilitate Profit Plan & Long-Term Strategy Execution: Lead monthly operating review meetings with executive leadership, tracking progress against financial goals and adjusting strategies.
Conduct Ad Hoc Analyses: Perform targeted reviews of sales, marketing, NPD, supply chain, and cost-reduction strategies, uncovering areas for profitability improvements.
Drive Continuous Improvement & Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Identify and prioritize high-impact improvement opportunities, maintaining a culture of ongoing enhancement and collaboration.
Ensure SOX, GAAP & Policy Compliance: Maintain strong financial integrity, conducting regular audits to meet regulatory and internal requirements, and mitigating potential financial risks.
Develop a Robust Finance Function: Recruit, retain, and develop talent to meet evolving global business needs, ensuring the team supports both growth and operational demands.
Provide Financial Leadership on Strategic Projects: Offer expertise on major initiatives including M&A, pricing, product planning, and supply chain optimization to drive successful outcomes.
Manage Risk: Establish and implement risk management strategies, regularly assessing financial risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Executive Communication & Presentation: Provide routine updates to the executive leadership team regarding financial performance, significant changes, and recommended actions.
Lead & Develop Teams: Manage 4 direct reports and approximately 30 indirect reports, fostering organizational excellence through strategic hiring, talent development, and succession planning.
You Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
15+ years of progressive financial leadership, including executive-level experience in a complex, global manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, SOX/GAAP compliance, and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Experience collaborating with senior leaders across multiple functions to achieve financial and operational targets.
Proven success in M&A activities, including interfacing with financial advisors and bankers.
Track record in establishing robust FP&A processes and driving process improvements.
Ability to build, lead, and maintain a high-performing Finance team aligned with global organizational needs.
Capable of guiding a finance team through evolving business environments.
