Corporate Affairs Department

The Corporate Affairs department at Blackstone plays a critical role in shaping and guiding the firm's communication strategies, both within the organization and externally. Key areas that comprise the department: Public Affairs, Marketing, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

Job Description:

Blackstone seeks an accomplished and dynamic professional to join as VP, Global Advertising to manage the orchestration of advertising campaigns across Blackstone’s key audiences and regions in close partnership with media agencies. Reporting to the Global Head of Advertising, this role demands strategic planning, adept budget management, expert agency management skills and a strong understanding of the media planning process.  The successful candidate will serve as a pivotal point of contact between our company and media partners, ensuring that all advertising efforts are strategic, efficient, and impactful.

As a critical member of the broader global marketing team, you’re a performance-oriented people leader with proven experience in developing and executing omni-channel advertising campaigns (digital, social, TV, print, etc.) to generate Awareness, Engagement and Conversion. You’ll partner across the broader organization including, but not limited to: Public Affairs, Digital, Content, Technology and Compliance to drive the successful development and execution of campaigns.  The ideal candidate will be an insights-driven marketer, entrepreneurial in spirit and passionate about building, developing, and optimizing campaigns at scale. 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Day-to-day management of media agencies of record to drive development of media plans from audience research to brief development to tactical media planning and optimizations.

Oversee media agency scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables, optimizing for cost-effectiveness and quality.

Utilize data-driven insights to inform and adjust campaign strategies and tactics for optimal performance.

Tight coordination and partnership with the creative lead to ensure media and creative workstreams are in synch and delivering against plans.

Partnership with regional marketing leads to develop and drive successful campaigns in top-tier markets globally.

Maintain clear, consistent communication with media agencies to ensure alignment with company objectives and media plans.

Qualifications:

8 + years of experience in marketing strategy or activation roles and or agency experience for B2B, B2C, or complex markets/audiences.

Proven track record in managing advertising campaigns and working with media agencies.

Expertise in media agency management, budgeting, project management, and media partner and tactical oversight.

Omni-channel media planning experience

Advanced knowledge of digital media including social and programmatic

Experience working in an integrated capacity with internal and external agencies and teams

Familiarity with the development and execution of branded content and partnerships

Knowledge and understanding of media tools and resources

Strong analytical skills to evaluate campaign effectiveness and inform future strategies.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a talent for fostering collaborative relationships.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Expected annual base salary range:

$140,000 - $200,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
