VP, Global Claims Transformation Strategy & Execution Lead

The VP, Global Claims Transformation Strategy & Execution Lead will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the seamless execution of claims transformation initiatives across the organization. Reporting directly to the SVP of Strategy & Portfolio Management, this role will manage the end-to-end delivery of projects, best practices within cross-functional teams, project plans/timelines, and project risk and mitigation strategies. At the same time, this individual will play a pivotal role in driving the day-to-day management of overall Claims Transformation strategy. The VP will be responsible for providing support across the global claims’ portfolio, support tracking and summarizing global leadership updates, create more consistency in overall reporting and drive greater standardization across our claim handling processes and practices. In addition to strong operational and project management skills, the ideal candidate will possess a solid technical acumen, having worked closely with engineering teams within an agile framework. Insurance industry experience is a plus, as this role will be engaged in projects spanning a variety of business line segments within the Claims Transformation portfolio.

This role can operate from any of the following Chubb offices: New York, NY, Whitehouse Station or Jersey City, NJ, Chicago, Il and Philadelphia, PA. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Support:

Support ongoing activities to drive forward the multi-year strategy of the Claims Transformation meeting, including supporting specific initiatives, leading the creation of leadership updates, development new measurement approaches and streamlining existing processes Partner with Domain Leads and Product Owners on annual and strategic plan for Claims Transformation, identifying key areas of opportunities, target quarterly deliverables, etc.  Lead quarterly communications delivery to claims leadership to drive engagement in our transformation strategy, create clarity around upcoming plans, seek input on key initiatives, and more.

Project Management: 

Develop and maintain project plans, set timelines, and coordinate resources to ensure that all projects deliver on time and within scope.  Act as the central point of contact for all project-related communications, ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.  Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, risk management plans, and status reports. 

Special Projects: 

Lead and execute special projects as assigned by the SVP of Strategy & Portfolio Management, ranging from process improvements to new initiatives that drive business impact.  Analyze complex business challenges, identify opportunities for operational efficiency, and implement solutions that align with business goals.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regional marketing teams, IT, and external agencies, to ensure the smooth execution of special projects. 7+ years of experience in operations, project management, or a similar role, preferably within a global insurance or digital organization.  Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple, digestible way. Ability to devise options and gain consensus through email, MS Office documents, and verbally.  Familiarity with Agile methodology and new ways of working. Strong financial acumen, with experience in cost-benefit analysis and KPIs.  Proven experience working with engineering teams in an agile framework, with a strong understanding of digital marketing tools and technologies.  Experience in managing relationships with external agencies and vendors, with the ability to drive performance and value from partners.  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field. MBA or equivalent a plus.  Excellent organizational, process, and interpersonal skills.  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.  PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.

The pay range for the role is $160,000-$210,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.  Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
