Job Description

Team Summary
The Products & Solutions team in Australia, New Zealand & South Pacific (AuNZSP) is responsible for developing and delivering product strategy, managing the growth and effectiveness of Visa’s product suit, and supporting pre and post sales of key solutions. The team actively drives thought leadership and long-term design for the growth of Visa payment credentials and value-added services across the Cluster. This includes Consumer and Business products (debit, credit, and pre-paid, digital and network solutions).

The role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne and will report to the SVP, Products & Solutions, Asia Pacific and the Group Country Manager, AuNZSP. The team is located across Visa’s AuNZSP offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.

What a Head of Product & Solutions, AuNZSP does at Visa:
A key thought-leader in the AuNZSP payments industry, as the Head of Product you will be responsible for initiatives to drive the expansion of Visa’s core consumer products and the related payment volume and revenue across the region. This remit incorporates product development and management across Visa Debit, Credit, Prepaid, digital and network solutions and includes management of card benefits as well as Small and Medium Business acceptance solutions. In addition this role is responsible for the Cluster’s non card strategy and delivery.

Develop, deliver and activate product strategies.Establish and enhance a pipeline of product enhancements, developments and acceleration plans including developing clear go to market strategies.Launch new product initiatives on time, within budget and across multiple clients.Engage in sales activity in conjunction with market sales teams.Implement regular client feedback sessions and incorporate their insights into product development.Engage the regulator(s) to propagate Visa’s point-of-view on regulatory issues in partnership with Government Engagement.Manage and meet financial performance indicators in AuNZSP including revenue targets and operating expense budgets.Manage and meet business metric performance in AuNZSP including active cards, payment volume, transaction volume and new product sales and implementations.Lead a team of innovative and engaged individuals focused on delivering best in class products to address local customer preferences, payment ecosystem needs and client priorities.Drive collaboration and cross-functional teamwork to inspire the local product team to work together towards common goals.

Qualifications

What you will need:

15-20+ years’ experience in either banking / financial services sector or technology / fintech sector developing and launching new digital and/or financial services related product, transactional banking services, debit and credit cards, e-payment services and/or other digital products / services.15 + years of experience in product development, product management and strategy.Proven experience in development of payments strategies and an ability to constructively challenge the status quo and experience exploring transformational ideas from conceptualization to commercialisation.Understanding of trends and themes in payments and commerce and/or futurist outlook and passion for technology innovation.Track record of navigating ambiguity, innovation and leading business initiatives to deliver outsized outcomes for organisations.Ability to manage multiple priorities and make things happen at pace, within complex and often ambiguous environments and to influence senior executives and other relevant parties.Ability to think big and launch “industry leading” ideas. Experience combining products or business assets in non-traditional ways to create new opportunities.Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels.Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.Outstanding executive communications skills as a spokesperson for Partnerships within Visa and across the industry. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical and business issues and solutions to a variety of stakeholders.Degree qualified in business and/or technology. Post graduate qualifications highly desirable.Understanding of Visa business and organization strongly preferred.Track record for a proven ability to attract, hire and retain top talent.
