DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking a VP, Health & Safety professional to join Michael Baker International. This person develops and implements policies, programs, and practices to ensure that the organization is compliant with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards concerning health and safety across Corporate, Local Offices and Project Sites. Travel to both internal office and client site to drive and ensure compliance with safety programs and culture.
Essential Duties:
Lead, develop, maintain, and communicate a safety program that includes policies, procedures, programs, and tools to ensure compliance with regulations and policies in a way that leads to a safe and injury -free work environment for both filed and office operations. Drive a safety culture throughout the organization that establishes a high standard of behavior for all employees and managers and is reinforced through feedback and coaching and transparent reporting. Develop and promote leading indicator metrics that best suit the Michael Baker operations. Direct health and safety audit programs in coordination with Operations leadership that include corrective action plan tracking. Direct incident reviews and reports and present them to Michael Baker leadership on a periodic basis. Develop and implements effective safety training programs including but not limited to fall protection, OSHA construction and new hire orientation. Provide functional expertise and strategic direction to the executive committee that aids in achieving our vision of an accident-free workplace. Maintain required information (IRIS, OSHA 300 log lagging and leading indicators, etc.) Administer the Workers Compensation Program including coordination with Baker’s outside consultant and in partnership with the Benefits Department.PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
7 or more years related experience preferably in Engineering and Construction field. Four-year degree, Safety Management preferred. Safety and Health certification. OSHA 500 certification. Certified Industrial Hygienist Certification.COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position $149,547-$233,564 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
