VP, Information Technology

The Vice President of Information Technology will provide strategic leadership for our organization's technology infrastructure, services, and operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, this executive will lead our cloud-first strategy, partner with security operations, manage our Microsoft 365 environment, and ensure excellence in service delivery across all IT functions. The position requires a visionary leader who can align technology initiatives with business objectives while maintaining operational excellence.

This role reports to the SVP, Chief Information Officer. This role oversees a team of Directors, Managers, and other IT professionals.

The Role: 

Strategic Leadership & Innovation
• Lead the development and execution of our Azure cloud-first strategy,
• Establish technology roadmaps that align with organizational goals and emerging industry trends.
• Drive large-scale transformational initiatives to modernize and optimize our technology environment.
• Provide executive-level guidance on technology investments and priorities.
• Present technology strategies and recommendations to senior business partners and executive leadership.
• Partner with the CIO to develop and implement the overall IT strategic vision.
Infrastructure & Security Management
• Oversee our corporate technology infrastructure, including cloud services, networks, and data centers.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices to protect organizational assets and information.
• Manage our Microsoft 365 environment, including voice services and communications infrastructure.
• Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities meet organizational requirements.
Service Delivery & Operations
• Supervise our service desk manager, ensuring high-quality support for all users.
• Oversee technology procurement processes, vendor management, and associated budgets.
• Establish service level agreements and performance metrics for all IT services.
• Direct a team responsible for providing guidance to managed communities and their MSPs.
• Ensure technology standards are consistently met across all LCS managed communities.
Team Leadership & Development
• Build and develop high-performing teams across infrastructure, operations, and service delivery.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and develop IT leaders and staff to enhance capabilities and succession planning.
• Recruit and retain top talent to execute the organization's technology vision.
• Leverage an analytical framework to optimize the application of human and financial resources.
Financial Management
• Develop and manage departmental operating and capital budgets.
• Optimize technology investments to deliver maximum business value.
• Implement cost management practices for cloud services and other technology resources.
• Perform financial analysis to support technology investment decisions.

Qualifications:

Required Experience
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
• At least 5 years of experience leading IT departments at a senior management level.
• Proven experience managing Azure or similar cloud infrastructure and services.
• Track record of successfully leading large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
• Extensive experience in infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and service delivery.
Preferred Experience
• Background in leading or operating a Managed Service Provider (MSP) business.
Required Skills & Knowledge
• Deep understanding of enterprise technology infrastructure and cloud computing paradigms.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem and related technologies.
• Expertise in IT service management frameworks and practices.
• Excellent understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, particularly when engaging with executive leadership.
Education & Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Technology Management, or related field
preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, Microsoft Azure certifications)
highly desirable.

Travel Frequency: 0-10%

Estimated Salary: $168,000 – $210,000
