MUFG Securities is looking for an accomplished multifaceted capital markets product executive with experience advising corporations on loan origination and underwriting. Experience in loan origination, loan syndications or investment banking is important. The candidate should have prior experience working at a financial institution in addition to being well suited to speak with clients regularly regarding investment grade loans and banking trends. Frequent travel to major client centers will be necessary.
Responsibilities:
Deliver and grow a sustainable, client-focused, primary business.Protect and enhance the firm’s reputation.Anticipate and meet enquiries from our clients with competitive and appropriately-structured advisory solutions to access capital in all of our covered markets/products. Clearly explain the risks and rewards of our bank products to our clients, and provide our clients with all the information they need to make an informed judgment about transactions.Promote appropriate cross-market sales opportunities for other products throughout the MUFG franchise with the goal of presenting our client base with a single source of solutions to their capital raising needs.You will ensure compliance with the firm’s internal risk and compliance requirements, controls and procedures including but not limited to:Conducting yourself at all times in a way which is commensurate with the firm’s values and ensure that the needs of the firm’s clients and the integrity of the market are placed at the heart of carrying out of your duties and ensure that you are conducting yourself as an industry professional and in accordance with policy guidelines.Complying with all of the firm’s policies and procedures.Complying with all legal and regulatory requirements emanating from any of the regulatory authorities to which the firm is subject, taking reasonable measures and escalating measures if necessary.You shall take reasonable measures to remain aware of key market and regulatory developments and, where necessary, attend training in this regard.Qualifications:
Candidates should have 5-7+ years syndicated loan origination experience.Candidates will understand client marketing, structuring in the bank loan market, corporate finance rationales for all bank lending products such as revolving credit facilities, term loans, bridge loans and letters of credit.Candidates will have an understanding of the DCM competitive landscape and how to position MUFG for underwriting roles.Qualitative Skills: candidates will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable presenting to and advising clients and establishing client relationships in formal and social settings. Candidates will need to create compelling materials to presentQuantitative Skills: candidates will have a strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting, company valuation and financial market dynamicsAbility to work across industry sectors and with a team of colleagues in the broader capital markets group and bank teams. The candidate should be a self-starter, have the ability to identify business opportunities, and comfortable taking on projects on his or her ownThe typical base pay range for this role is between $200K - $275K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
