JOB SUMMARY
This job supports the Highmark Health Office of the Western PA Market President with a range of operational and strategic activities essential to the enterprise business outcomes and change management activities. A key member of the leadership team, the VP must be a strong leader who is able to work effectively across the organization. Serves as a key partner and representative of the President to the other Highmark Health executive leaders in a highly matrixed environment. Develops key initiatives from a data-driven approach. Plans and delivers on key operational strategic initiatives focused on removing barriers to create unified operations. Will be a critical influencer across leadership and must drive a culture of accountable and collaborative communication. Able to serve as an extension and/or delegate of the Western PA Market President, the leader will at times will represent the Market President in internal meetings or in external meetings.

Must be an experienced technological, strategic, and operational leader with outstanding management abilities and a proven track record of executive and operational leadership with large organizations and teams. The incumbent will have a demonstrated record of successfully leading a highly disciplined, focused organization that consistently delivers and achieves critical performance metrics. The ideal candidate will bring substantive hospital and/or ambulatory operational experience as well as managed care/health plan experience and a keen understanding of the business drivers that affect the health care sector
