Job Purpose & Scope Perform a wide range of activities related to the Real Estate Specialties Group (“RESG”) and Corporate & Institutional Banking (“CIB”) loan portfolios including collateral and financial reporting, portfolio analytics, budgeting, data management, contribution to technological enhancements, and staff training/mentoring. Essential Job Functions Oversees completion of periodic portfolio reports including, but not limited to, those required by business line management, corporate accounting and finance, various oversight committees, and the Bank’s Board of Directors. Manages the monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and reporting cadence, ensuring timely and accurate delivery, review and presentation of various budgets, funding reports, data attestation processes, collateral reports, committee and board reports. Leads the review of periodic business line financial statements with management. Collaborates with data stewards in (i) monitoring and analyzing loan portfolio data and (ii) making recommendations to management with respect to the development of new data elements, key risk indicators, and data analytics accretive to the accuracy and usefulness of bank data. Collaborates with enterprise analytics, technology teams, credit risk management, and corporate finance in support of credit scorecards/risk ratings, CECL allowance development, stress testing and other key analytics. Leads the training of business line staff with respect to proper execution of various procedures, technology, and corporate reporting. Participates in the development and implementation of new procedures and technology, as required. Hires, trains, manages and mentors one or more portfolio management analysts and/or associates to assist in the various responsibilities detailed herein. Analyzes and reviews complex sets of data and information, performs detailed analysis and evaluation, and prepares and presents business case analysis to Executive management when appropriate. Participates in complex discussions with Executive management and others about assigned projects. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of the other essential job functions. Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work. Follows Bank policy, procedures and guidelines. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of corporate finance and accounting concepts sufficient to allow candidate to analyze complex industry, economic and financial data, interpret results and present findings in accurate, insightful reports. Ability to problem-solve using analytical, logistical, and verbal/written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex material or complicated issues with confidence and professional maturity both verbally and in writing with executive management. Ability to demonstrate strong report writing skills. Ability to proactively manage reporting cycles, ensuring collaboration and multi-level review/approval required to achieve deadlines are scheduled sufficiently in advance. Ability to multi-task and work effectively with exacting deadlines. Ability to work under general supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficient skill in the Microsoft suite of products, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Basic Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or data analytics, information systems, business or related field, or commensurate work experience, required. 6+ years of experience in accounting, finance, commercial and/or corporate banking, investment banking, private banking or other analysis, required. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year experience in a management or leadership role including oversight of one or more staff, preferred.
