VP, Portfolio Management (Asset Based Lending)
**Location:** 127 Public Square - Cleveland, Ohio 44114 **JOB BRIEF (PURPOSE)** The Asset Based Lending Group extends credit to corporations based in large part on the company’s accounts receivable and inventory collateral. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of a portfolio, generally in the range of 12- 17 asset based lending clients, including underwriting credit facilities, loan documentation, ongoing credit analysis and collateral management. It is expected that the portfolio manager understand all aspects of each client’s business and be proactive in identifying and resolving potential issues. An active calling effort and identification and team approach to cross-selling of bank products is expected. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** + Manages a portfolio of existing Asset Based Lending (ABL) accounts, including: + Reviews financial and collateral information. + Maintains an active dialogue with the borrower regarding financial condition. + Evaluates requests for waivers and amendments. + Reviews collateral examination and third party appraisal reports. + Communicates with other lenders in the syndicate as necessary. + Reviews third party legal documentation. + Oversees operational aspects with the assistance of loan services team members + Closes new business opportunities and underwrites future activity of the relationship. + Identifies opportunities to deepen client relationships and maximize client profitability to Key. + Manages account related relationships with non-KeyBank lenders, consultants, appraisers and lawyers, among others. + Prepares scheduled asset quality reports for review by internal and external examiners. + Attends industry sponsored networking events when appropriate. **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** + College degree in Business/Accounting/Finance. + At least 3 years of commercial lending and portfolio management experience; **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Prior asset-based lending portfolio experience + Credit skills to analyze collateral (inventory, accounts receivable and fixed assets). + Demonstrated ability to read and understand appraisals and financial information. + Demonstrated ability to structure and negotiate lending arrangements. + General understanding of fundamental loan documents. + Ability to coordinate closings of lending arrangements. + Excellent client contact and relationship skills. + Effective verbal and written communication skills involving other lenders, clients and prospects. + Knowledge of other bank products (cash management, derivatives, syndication, leasing, foreign exchange, etc.). **COMPETENCIES/SKILLS** + Organizational Savvy. + Strong Business Acumen. + Team Player. + Strong Negotiating Skills. + Customer Focus **EQUIPMENT USED/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** Computer, calculator, software models for risk rating and ROE calculations, Stuckey Loan System, Desktop, CWA and AQR. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $130,000 to $150,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
