Broadridge Financial Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP, Post Trade Architect to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing, overseeing, and optimizing technology solutions that support post-trade processes within financial institutions. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient settlement, clearing, and reporting of trades, as well as compliance with regulatory requirements. The architect will collaborate with stakeholders across trading, IT, compliance, and operations to develop and maintain a scalable, secure, and resilient post-trade infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Architectural Design & Strategy:
Design and implement technology architecture that supports all aspects of post-trade processes, including trade settlement, clearing, reconciliation, and reporting.
Develop a strategic roadmap for post-trade technology, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Ensure the architecture is scalable, secure, and adaptable to evolving business needs and market conditions.
System Integration & Optimization:
Lead the integration of post-trade systems with front-office and middle-office platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and process efficiency.
Optimize existing post-trade systems for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Implement and manage connectivity with external clearinghouses, custodians, and other third-party services.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure that all post-trade technology solutions comply with relevant regulations (e.g., MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, EMIR) and industry standards.
Implement robust risk management practices within the post-trade architecture to minimize operational risk.
Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with trading desks, operations, risk management, and IT teams to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Engage with external vendors, market infrastructures, and industry groups to stay updated on trends and innovations in post-trade technology.
Serve as a key point of contact for senior management on all matters related to post-trade technology architecture.
Technical Leadership & Innovation:
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development teams involved in building and maintaining post-trade systems.
Foster a culture of innovation, exploring new technologies (e.g., blockchain, AI, cloud computing) to enhance post-trade processes.
Lead the architectural review process, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and best practices.
Project Management:
Lead or oversee major post-trade technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Coordinate with project managers to align resources, timelines, and objectives with architectural goals.
Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth project execution and delivery.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
Monitor the performance and effectiveness of post-trade systems, identifying areas for improvement.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reduce latency, and increase operational efficiency.
Regularly review and update the post-trade architecture to ensure it meets current and future business requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, PMP) is advantageous.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in technology architecture within financial services, with a strong focus on post-trade processes.
Deep understanding of post-trade operations, including trade settlement, clearing, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting.
Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance technology solutions in a trading environment.
Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, such as MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, and EMIR.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Salary Range: $225,000 to $250,000 Annual

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
