VP, Pricing and Continuous Improvement

Job Summary

The Vice President of Solutions is a strategic leadership role responsible for Pricing and Continuous Improvement. This position will develop and execute pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability while ensuring competitiveness in the market. The role will regularly interact with customers and sales teams and is accountable for identifying and implementing improvements for key initiatives focused on cost, process, efficiency, customer retention, and service.

 

Essential Job Functions

Lead the development of comprehensive pricing strategies and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop the strategic and tactical direction for the Pricing and Continuous Improvement teams, establish metrics for performance, and be accountable for the financial and growth performance. Continuously evaluate and refine the costing and pricing models to grow revenue while maintaining market competitiveness. Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to identify opportunities for operational, network, and financial improvements. Drive value for existing customer partnerships through savings, service, and process initiatives. Negotiate customer contract terms and oversee contract compliance. Introduce new solutions and products to enhance customer experience, grow market share, and provide end-to-end solutions for our customers. Build relationships with key customers to ensure we consistently meet or exceed goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Account Management, Operations, and Finance. Provide strong leadership and guidance, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. Coach and mentor team members to enhance their professional growth and development. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Accounting, Business, or Finance or equivalent combination of education/certification and work experience. A minimum of 10 years of work experience in pricing strategy development or supply chain within the transportation industry, preferred 15 years of experience, and 5 years of management experience. Advanced knowledge of accounting and business finance principles and processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a robust understanding of transportation, economics, and supply chain network behavior. Ability to interact with cross functional internal stakeholders and customers at all levels, including the senior executive leadership team. Capacity to work independently and as part of a team in the research, planning, development, and implementation of strategic corporate projects. Experience establishing business process models and workflows, manage multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills (clear and concise), as well as strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and judgment. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Proven ability to create high-level and dynamic presentations and reports. Demonstrated attention to detail, with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
