VP, Projects
What this job involves:
The Vice President of Projects is responsible for directing, managing, and executing senior-level project management services on large, complex projects. This role involves leading a team of professionals to provide superior client service, overseeing project implementation from pre-construction through completion, and maintaining client relationships. It's typically a player/coach position that requires a high level of expertise in construction management and leadership.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Leading Construction Management strategy development and execution for a team
Overseeing project implementation from pre-construction to completion
Negotiating contracts with team members and vendors
Interfacing with architects, client staff, property managers, and vendors
Managing client relationships and resolving conflicts
Providing on-site supervision to ensure project performance criteria are met
Managing vendor and project team performance
Identifying and addressing potential liabilities and risks
Utilizing and managing cross-discipline teams to meet client needs
Contributing to the refinement of best practices and standards of excellence
Desired experience and technical skills:
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management (preferred)
5-10 years experience as a Senior Project Manager or similar role
Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications and MS Project
Experience in managing all aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, submittals, and change orders
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with executive-level clients and team members • Highly organized with strong analytical skills
Ability to manage several medium and large ground-up development projects, major re-development projects, and corporate interiors projects
Preferred:
Large scale Interior Renovation experience
Site Work management experience
Core & Shell Construction Management experience
Previous experience supervising, training, mentoring, and evaluating project managers
Experience working with landlords, developers, and institutional owners
Strong working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting in corporate real estate
Ability to lead individuals across a national platform
Estimated total compensation for this position:
117,760.00 – 147,200.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
