VP, Residential Connectivity Sales

The Vice President of Residential Connectivity Sales is responsible for sales strategy and execution that leads to commercial revenue growth from field account executives.  Responsible for assessing commercial market opportunity and developing a sales plan to maximize revenue growth through local direct sales.  In addition to sales channel strategy: responsibilities include collaborating with senior leadership; other channel leaders, fiscal operations and marketing to ensure commercial products and packages are positioned to gain market share.  Also accountable for partnering with sales operations to create/implement pre and post sales process that maximizes sales productivity and enhances the customer experience. 


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experienceAchieves the targeted annual revenue and connect growth from direct sales for all commercial product lines. Responsible for an annual sales budget of $50M of new monthly recurring revenue and an annualized growth rate in excess of 20%. Directly manages the commercial Sales Directors and their teams of regional/local sales managers and account executives. Develops and implements annual sales channel strategy and initiatives by market segment. Assists in the creation of sales territories, quotas, compensation plans and sales incentives.Produces monthly & quarterly new revenue forecasts for executive management.Maintains knowledge of trends within markets and industries; recognize and address barriers to acquisition.Develops and maintains an effective, top producing sales organization through selection, training, compensation, motivation, termination and review of sales staff.Oversees financial accountability and controls and ensure appropriate fiscal controls are implemented.Develops the annual direct sales budget including new revenue, connects, headcount, commissions and other sales related expenses.Aligns all work and resource management with Charter’s mission, vision, philosophies, values, goals and strategic imperatives.Directly develops industry relations and assist in the promotion of favorable community relationships. Achieves targeted financial performance and market share in all local markets. Benchmarks key performance indicators and major processes in order to move towards best practices and assure consistency of these indicators across the organization.Develops, grows, and maintains strong working relationships with RVPs, VPs and their direct reports.Develops, grows, and maintains strong working relationships cross functionally with all channels and support team leaders to ensure a seamless continuum of business operations.Provides direction and guidance to the staff to assure efficient and cost effective operations within budgeted guidelines.Manages and administers Company policies, EEO policies, hiring, termination practices and training and development.Assures that all corporate and federal regulatory reporting requirements have been met.Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or related field, or equivalent experienceMasters PreferredValid driver's license, satisfactory driving record within Company required standards and auto insurance

Related Work Experience

7+ years of Vice-president or greater operations position within a high transactional and/or high growth and geographically dispersed company10+ years of Profit/Loss experience10+ years of Telecommunications service experience
