Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented VP, Space Services & Solutions Program Directorate to join our team! In this role you will own strategy, execution, and growth to take this business forward to be a major player in delivering future space infrastructure and capabilities supporting the entire space value chain from Ground Command and Control (C2) to space vehicle solutions on orbit.

SES Directorate
Our Government Space Services and Solutions (SES) directorate is passionate about making America the undisputed leader in the Space Domain because we understand that ensuring our nation’s security for future generations depends on space situational awareness, prototyping and integration, and mission operations support. Parsons creates game changing space domain solutions by teaming highly respected subject matter experts with brilliant technologists.

SES delivers engineering services and solutions supporting space and intelligence missions with a broad set of capabilities from commercial space offerings, large scale development, and mission engineering to space assets and infrastructure used globally.  SES has a deep bench of engineering talent and capabilities to grow rapidly as space capabilities proliferate.  

SES delivers:

Integrated solutions for space situational awareness operations across a wide customer and stakeholder landscape

Commercial Space Operations services from Command and Control (C2) of Government satellites to delivering commercial antennae services all in an “aaS” model

Delivery and continuous advancement of Commercial off-the-shelf products, Government off-the shelf products for space missions

Delivery of open, common, cyber-secure tactical satellite C2 services within a resilient ground architecture to provide automation and a common user experience that is critical for battle management between the operational and tactical C2 levels

Conduct of lab operations within government owned facilities to support infrastructure hardware and software support for various tools and process applications

Development of mission software factory solutions to support data access, integration, application, and product dissemination for both multi-domain uses

What You Will Be Doing:

Superior people engagement and management skills

Foster a culture of high trust, transparent communications and development opportunities

Partner across the company for delivery of multi-directorate integrated solutions

Full P&L management of SES operations, including:

Full P&L accountability and responsibility for meeting operational, financial and strategic objectives

This position is ultimately accountable for bookings, sales, profit, and strategic execution of the business

Interacting at the highest levels of the corporate structure to influence, solve complex business issues and drive to solutions while engaging in a high level of constructive collaboration

Develop and lead a high performing team known for exceeding objectives

Strategy

Develop, document, and communicate the business strategy in collaboration with key leaders in the business

Establish specific strategic objectives that are measurable and measure progress against those objectives diligently

Lead and own approach to M&A and how that aligns with the business strategy

Lead the execution of M&

Develop IR&D and technology investments required to execute the strategy, drive execution of IR&D plans, and ensure we are investing in capabilities that create competitive advantage to achieve the strategy

New Business Development

Own and lead growth activities for the business partnering with Business Development to build customer relationships in the market, identify opportunities that align with the strategy, and build a pipeline of opportunities that achieves strategic objectives.

Actively engage in regular customer engagements to build the relationships needed to execute the strategy and grow the business

Proactively connect with stakeholders with key customers in order to shape and develop qualified business opportunities

Leadership on business development activities with active engagement with capture teams to build pursuit strategy, influence operations, and ensuring we are relentless to position and engage.

Customer Engagement

Outstanding and ongoing client engagement, demonstrating the ability to effectively diagnose client needs, propose and develop solutions that have a positive business impact

Engages in industry associations

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

B.S. degree in science or engineering, M.S. desirable

Strong financial acumen; MBA and/or financial training desirable but not required

Minimum of 15 years of experience with an emphasis on defense business development / growth

Department of Defense, Civil and Commercial domain knowledge; with emphasis on Space

Profit and Loss leadership experience

Proven track record of business growth to include re-compete wins and capture of major strategic pursuits

Formation of strategic partnerships

Acquisition integration experience

Demonstrated ability to drive margin expansion

Proven ability to attract and retain leaders and employees

Strong experience with customer and industry relations in defense

TS clearance required with ability to obtain SCI

Salary Range: 

$179,800.00 - $343,700.00

This position is eligible for incentive compensation.
