Job Summary

Leads the supply chain operations of the organization which includes strategic planning, coordination, and optimization of all activities related to the sourcing, procurement, production, logistics, and distribution of goods and services across a large geographic area.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

Oversees management of logistics, warehousing, and distribution of products across the United States.Identifies and implements cost-reducing initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance across the division.Develops and maintains strategic business relationships with providers, ensuring negotiated contracts meet quality and service standards.Monitors and analyzes performance metrics, including on-time delivery and quality assurance ratings, to drive continuous improvement.Communicates process improvements and changes effectively, fostering a collaborative team environment, championing the organization’s culture, and fulfilling the customer promise.Provides feedback to the supply chain management team to enhance leadership capabilities and identify essential leadership skills.Develops strategic plans to optimize the supply chain network, leveraging technology and best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs.Acts as a key liaison between different departments to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities with other business operations.

Work Environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 10+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management role having significant business impact.
