VP, Worldwide Sales Operations

Job Summary

This senior role is both a strategist and an executor who can shift from thought leadership to rolling up their sleeves to engage in hands-on support resolution. We are looking for an operational and results-focused leader with a passion for ensuring great customer experiences and excellent tools and analytics. The role is responsible for leading our experienced worldwide Sales Operations and Customer Service teams dedicated to supporting our customers and internal sales teams.  The role provides Masimo’s senior executives with key decision tools and analytics, and generates analysis, metrics and insights to drive sales and profitability and also to improve operational and sales effectiveness. The role spans all Masimo regions and businesses and has a pivotal role coordinating with finance and operations activities globally. The scope and influence of the role is very broad, and this is an exciting opportunity to make an impact in a Nasdaq listed company that builds transformational technologies in healthcare.

Duties & Responsibilities

Design scalable processes and leverage automation to handle the company’s growth. This includes implementing customized workflows, automating routine tasks, and providing self-service tools for sales teams. Create metrics that balance both short-term and long-term goals. Prioritize initiatives that drive immediate results while still investing in projects and initiatives that drive strategic improvements Manage demand forecasting. Continuously improve forecasting accuracy through process enhancements, data-driven forecasting models and rigorous pipeline review processes through our Salesforce CRM system. Develop the worldwide quarterly revenue forecast and provide weekly updates on progress to forecast.  Coordinate and drive sales teams and operations teams to achieve the quarterly goals. Generate business insights through advanced analytics and data mining to enable fact-based informed decisions by senior executives across the company.  Using both internal and external data sources, determine market opportunity for our company’s products to assist marketing strategy and sales team structuring and sizing. This could be at a global level or down to sales territory level. Build commission plans and develop quota plans. Manage Sales territories and Sales hierarchies throughout the company’s systems. Maintain a daily pulse on sales and order tracking to ensure accurate forecasting and operation of systems and controls.  Develop and manage global pricing structures, master data and price approval tools throughout our ERP, salesforce and other financial tools. Provide regular reporting and insights into pricing by product categories and regions.  Manage good pricing practices through appropriate price increases, contractual pricing terms, setting price targets, discount approval processes Develop, enhance and manage our financial models and tools for our long-term sales contracts. Report on tracking of customer contracts up to executive level.  Lead and guide our global Customer Service teams to ensure they have the best possible tools, systems, controls and training to manage customer orders smoothly from order to delivery. This includes managing the supply of Masimo equipment and procurement and supply of 3rd party equipment and services to our customers.

Qualifications and Experience required

Required Experience

Direct experience implementing large ERP and / or CRM projects would be a distinct advantage.  Oracle ERP and Salesforce CRM experience preferred.  Strong analytical skills and proven ability to interpret and summarize complex data is critical 10+ years business systems experience, primarily in Sales Operations, Finance background would be very advantageous in this role Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and work with diverse teams; Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to multi-task; Strong computer skills and advanced skills in using Excel, CRM and analytical tools is essential. 

 

Education

Bachelor’s in business, Finance or IS or equivalent degree, Master’s or MBA preferred 

 

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking.  Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required.  May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.  Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.
