The Vice President of Data Analytics Architecture, Development, and Platforms is a strategic leader responsible for the overall design, development, and management of the organization’s data architecture, platforms, and development processes to enable robust enterprise-wide analytics and insights. This role ensures that the data strategy aligns with the business objectives and drives innovation and efficiency through effective data management practices. The job requires working closely with Data Analytics leadership, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment and successful execution of data initiatives, and a demonstrated ability to communicate the value and impact of data architecture and development efforts to senior management and key stakeholders.

Education:
Required – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred – Master’s degree.
Work Experience:
Required – 8 years of experience in data architecture, data management, and data platform development at a leadership level.
Preferred – Healthcare industry experience; certification(s) in relevant technologies or methodologies inclusive of those that demonstrate expertise in Health Insurance Claims and/or Electronic Medical Records.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Strong strategic vision combined with experience developing and executing business strategy.
Proven track record of leading large-scale data architecture and development projects.
Expertise in modern data technologies, including cloud platforms, large data framework, and data warehousing solutions.
Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data integration best practices.
Knowledge of healthcare data and analytics drivers and ability to operate efficiently and in an agile manner.
Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience managing and mentoring technical teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Job Duties:
Develop and implement a comprehensive data analytics architecture strategy that supports the organization’s goals.
Lead the design and execution of data management frameworks, including data governance, data quality, and data integration.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align data initiatives with business priorities and objectives.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s data and cloud architecture, including on-prem and cloud native systems, and end-to-end data and analytic solutions to deliver innovative solutions that drive business outcomes.
Ensure data models are optimized for both transactional and analytical systems.
Drive the adoption of best practices in data architecture, including the use of cloud-based solutions, big data technologies, and advanced analytics.
Manage and optimize data platforms, ensuring they meet the needs of the business and comply with industry standards.
Oversee the evaluation, selection, and implementation of data platform technologies.
Ensure robust data security and privacy measures are in place across all data platforms.
Lead a team of data engineers, architects, and developers to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence in data engineering practices.
Ensure development processes are efficient, standardized, and adhere to best practices.
Serve as a subject matter expert on emerging technologies regarding data storage, data management, data analytics, cloud infrastructure, and AI.
Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the performance and effectiveness of data architecture and development initiatives.
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the status of data projects and the overall health of the data ecosystem.
