A philosophy that balances personal lifestyles, perspectives, and needs in an important part of our culture.The Tailored Lending (“TL”) Group within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Private Banking Group is seeking an Asset Manager to help grow and manage our Ultra High New Worth (“UHNW”) lending portfolio serving UHNW clients (generally clients with a minimum net worth of at least $50 million) with a focus on loans secured by private stock, hedge funds, private equity, and aircrafts as well as unsecured loans.The Asset Manager will primarily assist in the management of existing credit facilities and restructures/workout of challenged loans, in addition to (i) maintaining a quality loan portfolio, (ii) collaborating with the team’s UHNW lending transactors on client management, and (iii) partnering with credit risk management on portfolio risk control and reporting.The position will be based in the New York area and will support the UHNW lending team and portfolio throughout the US.Position Summary:• Experienced underwriting professional with prior work-out experience, reporting to the Alternative Assets Product Head.• Responsibilities include supporting the UHNW Lending team in the following: a) Manage restructures, extensions and modifications of existing credit facilities prior to maturity including management of both client and advisor relationships. b) Analyze guarantor and borrower financial statements including tax returns and K-1 statements, testing and monitoring financial covenants, perform collateral analysis, prepare market assessments, and conduct loan document review. c) Prepare clear and concise credit memoranda for loan restructures, extensions and modifications, including facility structure outline, financial analysis, collateral assessment, risk and mitigant identification, and recommendations for credit review and approval. d) Ensure portfolio data integrity within internal systems. e) Develop and implement remedial action plans when necessary. f) Prepare and maintain various reports on loans in restructure/work-out for senior management.Morgan Stanley (“MS”) is a global financial services firm that conducts its business through three principal business segments—Institutional Securities, Wealth Management (“WM”), and Asset Management. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also includecommission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
