Are you in? **Primary Purpose** The VP, Corporate Communications and Marketing will envision and implement a multi-faceted communications program to maintain and enhance the positive reputation of Exelon and effectively engage all key stakeholders to support business outcomes and the achievement of Exelon’s vision. **Primary Duties** + Overall responsibility for design and execution of a comprehensive internal and external communications and marketing strategy using multiple formats and media to maintain and increase awareness of Exelon’s key community goals and achievements, differentiate the organization competitively as a leader in the energy transition, and cultivate and sustain critical relationships. + Lead the development and execution of strategy for issues advocacy, digital communications, media, and reputation strategy & Insights. + Maintain open and ongoing communication to exchange relevant information with senior management, other business units and other departments to effectively manage and modify communication programs; serve as designated point person in all aspects of communications to ensure message continuity, clarity and accuracy. + Integrate departmental strategies and efforts with Federal Policy, Investor Relations, and other key departments to ensure a united focus on business objectives and collaboration on key messages. + Maintain awareness of economic, social and political trends that may affect Exelon; make recommendations to aid in the recalibration of strategies and plans accordingly. + Serve as counselor to senior management on communications and corporate reputation issues. + Cultivate and maintain positive, productive relationships with high level stakeholders, including national news media, industry groups and trade associations, vendors and community leaders. **Job Scope** **Supervision:** Leading approximately 20 employees total including 4 direct reports (Sr Manager and Director level direct reports) **Relationships:** Direct and frequent interaction with Exelon and operating company senior management, including the CEO. Maintains strong relationships with corporate and operating company leadership. **Scope:** Internal and external communications, digital and social media, issues advocacy and creative services. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field is required. + The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of progressively responsible experience and technical know-how in strategic communications in support of internal and external communications, marketing/reputation and business goals. A proven and dynamic leader, committed to developing teams. + Significant experience leading issues advocacy campaigns + Proven, successful experience in leading a broad base of internal and external communications functions including key message management, employee communications, speech and presentation support, copywriting and editing, script-writing, and multiple forms of electronic communications including interactive and social networking. + Excellent copywriting skills in conjunction with the overall communications plan; effective writing and editing skills for all materials produced by Marketing & Communications as well as other key customers within the organization. + Experience leading content teams using advanced optimization strategies: paid, earned, owned, etc. + Strong strategic, creative and progressive thinking, ability to handle ambiguity; strong attention to detail and well-organized with dependable follow-up and follow-through. + Intellectually curious, strong EQ and listening skills. **Preferred Qualifications** + Master’s degree in communications or business + Energy industry or political advocacy experience + Professional accreditation (Accredited in Public Relations, Accredited Business Communicator) **Benefits** + Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: USD $228,800.00/Yr. - USD $343,200.00/Yr. + 401(k) match and annual company contribution + Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance + Life and disability insurance + Generous paid time off options, including vacation, sick time, floating and fixed holidays, maternity leave and bonding/primary caregiver leave or parental leave (based on position) + Long Term Incentive Plan for eligible positions + Wellbeing programs such as tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance and fitness reimbursement + Referral bonus program + And much more Exelon is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and employees or applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to: age, color, disability, gender, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, protected veteran status, or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.
