The Enterprise Data Office (EDO) is part of the larger Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) organization, supporting critical initiatives sponsored by the Chief Data Officer. The EDO improves the customer experience and drives business growth through robust enterprise-wide data policies and governance and enablement of a data-driven culture. American Express continues to invest in enterprise data management, running large scale, multi-year programs to improve end-to-end data lifecycle capabilities, policies, and processes. As part of the journey, we are seeking a Vice President to lead program and change management. The responsible VP will lead a team responsible for several data-related initiatives, as well as design and delivery of comprehensive change management program to drive awareness of and alignment with data management requirements across the enterprise. **Key responsibilities include:** + Lead the Enterprise Data Program & Change Office and team to drive a multi-year strategic program and deliver sustainability for the change journey ahead. + Collaborate and engage with a diverse set of stakeholders (product and technology partners, federated data offices, and program peers) to drive alignment across the EDO workstreams and enterprise program leads. + Establish a comprehensive change management framework and strategy to support ongoing change, accounting for new data management requirements as well as external impacts to the data management program and key stakeholders. + Introduce new processes and ensure a smooth transition to business-as-usual (BAU), while minimizing disruption and ensuring changes are sustainable and meet regulatory expectations. + Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor success. + Communicate scope change, resourcing, and financial implications to senior management in a clear and timely manner. + Proactively identify gaps in project plans and educate the team on finding closure. + Oversee program managers to monitor program delivery and progress across business units, ensuring integration of program elements, risk mitigation, and timely closure of program milestones. + Manage and develop the team responsible for supporting program and transformation efforts to meet program strategy and objectives **Qualifications** + Proven experience building and leading diverse, geographically dispersed, high-performing teams; extensive experience and success as a leader of leaders. + 10 years of experience on global transformation initiatives with large U.S. bank required; Big 4 Firm experience preferred. + 7-10 years of experience leading and delivering a global change management program, with demonstrated success in driving widespread adoption. + Expertise required in change impact assessment, and planning and execution of adoption strategies including communications, training, and stakeholder management. + Experience operating in a technology- and data-heavy function, with ability to influence cross-functional senior stakeholders on key Data Management and Data Governance concepts. + Proven ability to lead, influence and motivate organization(s) within your direct authority as well as outside of your direct authority to achieve aggressive goals. + Proven ability to create and implement project management and governance structures to drive delivery of complex transformation efforts. + Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate complex concepts in a manner consumable by a broad stakeholder base, including a senior executive audience. + The ability to bring structure to ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast paced dynamic environment. + Location: US Hybrid; New York preferred; other major US Amex markets considered **Qualifications** Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions Salary Range: $200,000.00 to $275,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
