Description
We are offering an opportunity for a VP/Director of Finance in the manufacturing industry, located in Memphis, Tennessee. This role involves overseeing financial operations, implementing strategic financial planning, and providing leadership in the financial department. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all accounting functions including auditing, budget processes, and cash flow analysis
• Utilize SAP
• Implement strategic financial planning using CRM, CapEx, and other tools
• Manage manufacturing cost accounting and product costing
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills in managing the financial team and handling complex financial issues
• Maintain and improve financial health of the company through capital management
• Implement and improve financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Work closely with other departments to roll up their sleeves in financial matters
• Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
• Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
Requirements
• The candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance leadership role, preferably as a VP/Director of Finance.
• Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software systems is required.
• Proficiency in SAP is required.
• The candidate should have a deep understanding and experience with accounting functions and auditing.
• Experience with budget processes, capital management, and cash flow analysis is necessary.
• Expertise in product costing and manufacturing cost accounting is a must.
• The candidate should possess strong leadership skills and the ability to lead a team efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed.
• The candidate should have a strategic mindset and be able to make sound financial decisions that align with the company's goals.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CFA is a plus.
• The candidate should have a strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
• Proficiency in financial forecasting and risk management is expected.
