VP/Director of Finance
Description We are in search of a VP/Director of Finance to join our team in SANTA FE, New Mexico. The role involves overseeing and managing the financial performance metrics for various business units in the banking industry, assisting in reporting for ALCO committee, and leading the budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes. Responsibilities: • Facilitate the budget, planning, and forecasting processes in collaboration with bank management and departments. • Oversee and manage the financial performance metrics/reporting for the business units. • Assist CFO in ALCO committee reporting, including ALM and Liquidity policies, analysis, and reporting. • Manage the preparation of the Bank’s quarterly Allowance for Credit Loss analysis. • Design and manage scorecard metrics for business unit performance evaluation, including annual incentives for both individual and managing contributors. • Assist in the month-end closing process, ensuring the accuracy of month-end and year-end closing processes. • Develop processes and procedures to ensure proper accounting controls are in place for new types of business. • Assist in the preparation of the bank and bank holding company’s financial statements in accordance with GAAP. • Ensure compliance of all accounting transactions with GAAP in partnership with the CFO. • Facilitate the preparation of external CPA audit materials, internal audit materials, FFIEC examination materials, and external financial reporting. • Engage in outreach to other departments on various topics including projects and deliverables. • Ensure compliance with financial and internal controls to safeguard the bank’s assets and propose new or improved controls and efficiencies. • Undertake special projects related to area of responsibility. Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or a related field. • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is required. • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions is necessary. • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is a must. • Familiarity with Annual Budget preparation and management is required. • Knowledge of Auditing principles and practices is essential. • Ability to handle Budget Processes effectively is expected. • Strong skills in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) are required. • Experience in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) is a plus. • Proficiency in Cash Flow Modeling is essential. • Understanding of GAAP Accounting principles is a must. • Familiarity with FFIEC and FRB regulations is required. • Ability to generate Financial Reporting and Financial Projections is necessary. • Experience in managing Credit Loss is a plus. • Ability to conduct Employee Training sessions is a plus.
