Description We are seeking a VP/Director of Finance to join our team in Leesburg, Virginia. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing our financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities. This role entails close collaboration with senior leadership and requires strategic thinking and strong communication skills. Responsibilities: • Oversee the development of financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning processes to align with strategic objectives • Analyze current financial performance, compare it against historical data and forecasts, and identify trends • Make recommendations for financial optimization based on analysis of current performance • Escalate any financial or reporting/analysis issues to management promptly • Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports • Present financial data and strategies to senior management and board members • Lead the annual budgeting process, including capital expenditure planning • Advise on long-term financial planning and recommend strategies for increasing financial performance • Utilize and optimize accounting/financial analysis software for more efficient operations • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team • Collaborate with senior members of the accounting and finance teams to ensure smooth operations Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions is required. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is essential. • Ability to develop and manage the Annual Budget. • Familiarity with Budget Processes is necessary. • Experience in Board reporting is a must. • Strong skills in Financial Analysis is needed. • Proven capabilities in Forecasting is required.
