VP/Director of Finance
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in Los Angeles, California, for a VP/Director of Finance to join our team. This role involves leading the accounting department, managing cash balances and banking relationships, and preparing for annual audits and tax return preparation. Responsibilities: • Supervising the accounting department, fostering goal development, and providing regular feedback and support. • Overseeing all general ledger accounting aspects. • Managing cash balances and investments and maintaining banking relationships. • Coordinating the annual audit and tax return preparation. • Maintaining the month-end close-out process. • Preparing monthly revenue analysis and entering the corresponding journal entry. • Collaborating with the Controller to produce cash flow analyses and forecasts. • Ensuring the timely disbursement of payroll, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes, in compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws. • Assisting with the creation and implementation of the annual budget and performing regular projections to aid with budget modifications. • Participating in regular meetings with program leadership, providing financial reports, and serving as a liaison between programs and finance. • Analyzing key vendor relationships to ensure cost efficiency. • Collaborating with the Director of Fiscal Grant Management and Consulting CFO to maximize grants and keep program staff informed of grant performance. • Participating in Board, Finance Committee, and Audit Committee meetings. Requirements • Candidate must hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in a finance-related role. • Experience as a VP/Director of Finance is greatly preferred. • Proficiency in using 3M is required. • Must have extensive knowledge and experience in utilizing Accounting Software Systems. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential. • Proficiency in using Concur is a requirement. • Familiarity with CRM systems is necessary. • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is required. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is a prerequisite. • Must have experience in creating and managing an Annual Budget. • Auditing experience is a key requirement. • Familiarity with Budget Processes is necessary.
