Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Accounting Manager to join an organization in Southern Portland. The individual will manage a department during a time of huge growth and change management. Prior experience in grant accounting would be a plus and management of the month end process; to include financial statements, reconciliation of all asset and liability accounts, and budgeting. This role is central to our operations and demands an individual well-versed in not only managing a fast paced financial and accounting department, but able to assist with leading a fantastic team looking for mentorship. Responsibilities: • Oversee the financial operations of the organization, including the development and management of budgets. • Provide leadership and direction to the finance team. • Implement and manage accounting software systems. • Ensure accurate financial records, including accounts payable (AP) and annual budget. • Conduct auditing and budget processes to ensure financial stability and compliance. • Manage and reconcile the organization's financial accounts.. • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements + Non-Profit, Municipality, or Education Industry experience required. + Expert budgeting, and financial planning abilities for fiduciary responsibility. + Strong attention to detail and Project Management mindset.
