Description Our client is in need of an interim Director of Finance. As part of your role, you will be expected to handle a range of tasks including processing financial data, maintaining accurate records, and handling budgeting tasks. In this role you will oversee general ledger,internal controls, budgeting, reconciliation, closing activities, and financial reporting. You will also be responsible for assessing audit result opportunities, implementing desired corrections and ensuring ongoing compliance. Additionally, you will provide ad hoc reporting, present financials to the board and senior management. Overview of Responsibilities: • Oversee a small operational accounting team and ensure accurate and timely performance on accounting functions • Analyze trends, assess efficiencies, and provide recommendations • Handle general ledger, journal entries and adjusting entries • Ensure compliance reporting and internal controls are in place • Develop and manage departmental budgets • Create comprehensive financial reports • Present financial information to the board • Communicate financial results effectively Requirements Requirements: • 5+ years of relative experience • Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Demonstrated experience in budgeting and financial forecasting is essential • A solid understanding of general ledger functions • Knowledge and experience in preparing and reviewing journal entries and adjusting journal entries • Experience in financial reporting and creating comprehensive financial reports • Comprehensive understanding of internal controls and the ability to ensure compliance • The ability to create detailed reports for various business Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
