VP/Director of Finance
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a VP/Director of Finance for a client of ours in Santa Clara, California. As part of our team, you will be tasked with leading the annual budgeting process, steering financial forecasting, and ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting principles and regulations. You will also be expected to collaborate with various departments for financial alignment and coordination. Responsibilities: • Take the lead in the annual budgeting process, collating inputs from different departments and presenting the consolidated budget to senior management for approval. • Conduct financial forecasting, incorporating current business trends, market conditions, and operational performance to predict future financial outcomes. • Develop and implement strategic, long-term financial plans that align with the company’s growth initiatives. • Ensure regular preparation of financial reports and analyses, providing insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and budget variances. • Guide and support department heads in managing their budgets and reaching their financial targets. • Create and maintain financial models and tools to facilitate planning and decision-making processes. • Guarantee compliance with all applicable accounting principles and regulatory requirements. • Coordinate with other departments, including accounting, operations, and sales, to ensure alignment on financial matters. • Monitor industry trends and best practices to pinpoint opportunities for improvement and innovation in financial planning and budgeting. • Engage in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management. Requirements • Experience working for a non profit/related industry. Demonstrated expertise in Annual Budget preparation and management • Proven experience in Budget Processes, including planning, tracking, and reporting • Proficiency in using NetSuite/Adaptive Planning for financial management and reporting • Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards • Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities • Excellent leadership and team management skills • Ability to communicate complex financial information in an understandable way • Proven track record of managing finance in a similar role • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills • Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field • Detail oriented certification such as CFA, CPA would be a plus • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong capabilities in Microsoft Excel • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
