Description
We are on the search for a VP/Director of Finance to be an essential part of our team in Plano, Texas on a contract basis. As the VP/Director of Finance, you'll have a significant role in managing the financial operations of our organization. This role involves handling accounting systems, overseeing budget processes, and managing customer relations. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity with potential for contract-to-hire. Onsite during transition with exiting Director on 3/31, then mostly remote.
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Company leadership, the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (Finance Director) is responsible for leading the FP& A team that drives analysis, planning and budgeting, forecasting and reporting to executive management for business decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Drive the annual financial planning process
Lead the financial forecasting process
Provide timely, accurate, and in-depth reporting and analysis regarding the Company’s financial performance
Maintain and execute a weekly cash forecasting process
Assist in the revenue and margin forecast
Review and approval all headcount requests
Drive development of financial section of Board of Directors quarterly update package
Requirements
• Proven experience in a VP/Director of Finance role or similar
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance and performance measures
• In-depth understanding of corporate governance principles and best managerial practices
• Demonstrated expertise in annual budget preparation and management
• Familiarity with budget processes and financial accounting, including forecasting and modeling
• High proficiency in creating and managing cash forecasts to support business operations
• Extensive experience with budgeting and forecasting, including the ability to analyze financial data and draw accurate conclusions
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use complex formulas and create detailed financial reports
• Solid understanding of data analysis and performance metrics
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
• Detail oriented certification such as CFA/CPA is considered a plus.
