**Job Summary**
The VP of Enterprise Portfolio & Capabilities will be responsible for overseeing the multi-year strategic investment portfolio and managing the enterprise capability architecture and roadmap. This role will lead in the strategy, design, planning, and execution required to successfully govern, oversee, and realize value from the strategic investment portfolio in alignment with our long- and short-term strategic goals. This role will be pivotal in shaping the organization’s future by aligning our capabilities with business objectives and optimizing our investment portfolio for maximum impact. Responsible for the overall project delivery of the Company’s portfolio investments with the goal of optimizing benefits, mitigating risks, and ensuring strategic alignment.
**Essential Functions:**
• Lead the design and development of a comprehensive capability roadmap aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives, ensuring that it supports our long-term growth and competitive advantage. Define and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness and impact of capability development efforts and investment decisions.
• Oversee the organization’s multi-year strategic investment portfolio, including evaluating and prioritizing investment opportunities, allocating resources, and monitoring performance against strategic goals.
• Oversee and manage portfolio governance and end-to-end lifecycle of project investment needs across the enterprise spanning strategy definition, investment planning, value enablement, and value realization.
• Oversee the organization’s multi-year strategic investment portfolio, including evaluating and prioritizing investment opportunities, allocating resources, and monitoring performance against strategic goals.
• Identify and assess emerging capabilities required to drive future growth and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to build or acquire these capabilities. Ensure alignment between capability development efforts and business priorities, working closely with key stakeholders to understand strategic imperatives and translate them into actionable plans. Identify and mitigate risks associated with capability development initiatives and investment decisions, proactively addressing challenges to minimize disruption and maximize value creation.
• Provides a continuous monitoring/feedback mechanism to the Strategy domain to adjust the current course for existing investments and to help shape capability roadmaps for future investment considerations.
**Education/Experience:**
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• 5+ Progressive leadership experience, leading investment portfolio oversight
• 10+ years in portfolio management, project management, or similar function.
• Advanced knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methodologies and processes for strategic planning and portfolio management
• Customer-oriented approach to working with direct reports, peers, customers, and other stakeholders
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and business case development
