VP Finance - Building Adhesive Solutions

Position Title: VP Finance - Building Adhesive Solutions

Location: St. Paul, MN (10-20% Travel)

Position Overview:

The Vice President, Finance – Building Adhesives Solutions (BAS) will report directly to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and indirectly to the Senior Vice President, BAS and will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities BAS and will partner with the Senior Vice President, BAS in setting the strategic and financial direction for the Global Business Unit (GBU). This position supports the growth in sales, profitability and capital efficiency of the GBU by providing financial insights and decision support to business leaders, as well as key reporting and forecasting information and insights to GBU and Corporate leadership. The position collaborates closely with Executive leaders, Finance leaders and business partners to support and drive profitable growth.

Primary Responsibilities

40% Financial Leadership

Partner with GBU leadership to set the strategic and financial direction for the GBU.Oversee and advise on GBU financial investments and expected payback, including capital budget and potential acquisitionsDirect the GBU financial planning and reporting process Fuller including monthly forecasting, annual budget, strategy cycles, and reporting.Develop, implement, and manage GBU forecast, analytics and decision support frameworks, models and reports to further enhance business insights. Must demonstrate analytical prowess, strategic thinking and a command of the details.Set GBU working capital targets and develop and oversee plans to deliver on targeted outcomes.Educate GBU leadership on critical metrics through regular reporting and analysis; develop new metrics to capture and measure GBU initiatives as required. 

20% Business Partnership

Work closely with GBU Leadership Team to develop growth and profit improvement strategies and drive execution to achieve objectives and targets.Effectively identify and communicate risks and opportunities to the business.Create and communicate a compelling vision for finance within the business. Act as an effective spokesperson for the business to optimize connectivity across functions.

20% Continuous Improvement

Hold self and others accountable for forecast accuracy, continuous improvement and delivering results.This position will play a key role in collaboration and leadership within the Global Finance function and broader H.B. Fuller community to implement standardized global processes to leverage efficiency and improve effectiveness.

20% Team Development, Collaboration and Management

Hire, train and develop a high performing BAS Finance team with the goal of becoming a source for high performing Finance talent for the broader H.B. Fuller Finance function.Work proactively to create and sustain engaged teams.Regular communication with key stakeholder groups to ensure objectives and processes are aligned and that priorities are redirected as changes occur.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related area (Accounting, Finance, Business, etc.)10+ years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis; 7-10 years of finance management experienceExperience in financial reporting, forecasting, and planning, ideally with prior experience working in a Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team at a senior leader level in a large, multinational companyPossess a strategic approach, sound business judgment, and an entrepreneurial mindsetStrong knowledge of accounting, financial analysis, and commercial finance conceptsMust possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills to coach, motivate, and develop geographically dispersed teamsMust possess excellent analytical skills to ensure accurate preparation and reporting of financial resultsEffective leading in complex and ambiguous situationsExperience in designing and implementing strong processes and systems in complex organizationsProficiency in Microsoft Office Travel- 10-20% average

Preferred Requirements

MBA preferred, CPA or CFA designation a plus

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $260,000 - $280,000.
