VP/GM Electrical Sector Americas (LATAM region)

Eaton Corporation is currently seeking a Vice President/General Manager to lead the Electrical Sector Americas Latin America (ESA LATAM) region. This position can be based in either Mexico or Brazil.
**Position Overview:**
The VP/GM will set the strategic direction and all aspects of the business planning process for the ESA LATAM region. This person will lead and manage all operational activities for the region and provide strategic and operational leadership to the sales and operations team and associated support functions.
The VP/GM will lead four different business units organized per country, including full P&L responsibility covering the ESA product lines in Latin America: Power Distribution Assemblies, Commercial and Residential business, Power Components, Power Systems, EESS and CPDI. This person will be also responsible for five manufacturing plants and several distribution centers.
**Essential Functions:**
• Direct activities of the business, setting direction and strategy to achieve growth and profitability objectives.
• Provide guidance and leadership to staff in the development and deployment of business plans and operations. Translates segment strategic plans into action plans that fit the needs of the business.
• Achieve productivity gains and manage budget to ensure operational and financial goals are met.
• Develop short and long-term plans for the organization including critical headcount identification, new product development and technology road mapping, operational and plant investments, and achievement of profit plan, in alignment with the strategic plan and annual objectives.
• Develop and manage organizational strategic planning and road mapping that aligns to the division’s strategic plan to ensure that the organization is fully capable of supporting internal and external customers by accounting for growth, organizational changes, campaigns, and new product development and launches with a goal of achieving world-class customer support levels.
• Drive a culture proactively focused on Environmental, Health, and Safety, driving towards zero-incident safety culture mindset. Ensure thorough and comprehensive investigations of any recordable or near miss incidents and implement effective communication and remediation plans.
• Identify and develop possibilities for future business growth including the identification and leadership of the merger and acquisition process.
• Ensure customer satisfaction, high levels of service and promote continuous improvement efforts to drive repeated business and customer loyalty.
• Responsible for sales, marketing, and operations management to ensure top line sales and bottom line profit objectives are met.
• Provide strategic direction to identify and develop prospective new customers. Keep current on the trends and significant issues providing direction for the profit and strategic planning processes. Ensure the division maintains effective relationships with and service to internal and external customers.
• Effectively build a high potential leadership team and organization capability
• Effectively collaborate across functions (working in the matrix) to build joint objectives to reach regional goals.
• Serve as the corporate leader for Mexico and the public spokesperson for EATON in the country/region.
• Support the regional journey to implement the Digital mindset into the region.
• Collaborate within global product line development providing properly voice of the customers and market trends.
**Required Qualifications:**
• Minimum of 15 years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, OPEX and/or related support functions
• Languages: Spanish and English is mandatory; Portuguese will be a plus

**Education:**
• An undergraduate degree is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
**Compensation:**
• Eaton recognizes this role as a critical position within the corporation and will create a compelling package consisting of a base salary, employee incentive compensation, including long term incentive and complete benefits.
