As the Vice President - Information Systems, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization's IT strategy and implementation, ensuring technological infrastructure aligns with business goals while driving innovation and managing large-scale IT projects. You will support Business Process Management (BPM) by overseeing requirements, gathering, process design, and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and strategic alignment across Enterprise Systems (Q2C, P2P, R2R). You will be accountable for managing the full requirements lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders to define, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional needs.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company's overall business objectives Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of major IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget Technology Implementation: Evaluate and implement new technologies that enhance the company's competitive edge and operational efficiency Budget Management: Manage the IT department's budget, making informed decisions on resource allocation and cost control Security: Ensure the company's information systems are secure and comply with relevant regulations and standards Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with other executives, department heads, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for IT initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree - Business, Strategy, or Technology related field required; Masters Degree preferred 12 years of experience working within a technology firm, professional services firm, or other strategy function, including involvement in setting, and developing digital strategies for clients or business development Technical architecture background to support strong digital fluency in topics across the digital spectrum such as: digital commerce, digital marketing, the industrial technology stack, IoT, AI, blockchain, cloud, design thinking, etc. Strong collaboration skills and experience interacting with many business, functional and IT teams, such as Global Process Owners (GPO’s), Product Owners (PO’s), Subject Matter Experts (SME’s), enterprise architects, solution architects, application architects and development teams Agile leader able to pivot between competing responsibilities to deliver outcomes Experience and desire networking with a broad set of stakeholders across Wesco and other organizations Strong executive presence: able to engage at varying levels within the global leadership and client executives Strong project management skills including work planning, presentation development, and quality control Excellent communication skills both oral and written and the ability to influence others Bright, conceptual and a quick learner, able to quickly assess a situation and generate new insights and actionable ideas Direct experience with IT planning and budget management Ability to travel 25% - 50%
