Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing (SMS) is one of America’s top-five non-bank mortgage-servicing companies. What is mortgage servicing? Our clients are businesses that own mortgage loans (such as banks and real estate investment firms). On their behalf, we manage (or “service”) their loan portfolios, which means that we collect homeowners’ mortgage payments, pay their tax and insurance bills, and help homeowners in default to get current.
 

Primary Function

The VP Investor Reporting is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing policies and procedures as well as reporting for GSE (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA), and securitized and 3rd party serviced loan portfolios. The VP Investor Reporting will oversee and ensure that all reporting is done in accordance with Servicing, Pooling, and Facility Agreements. The VP, Investor Reporting will also work closely with the CFO and SVP Cash and Capital Markets to develop procedures and establish goals to achieve company objectives and establish an organizational structure that results in effective operations and sound risk management. The VP will be involved in the process flow of daily activities to ensure results are achieved by providing guidance and training to the existing personnel and acting as the subject matter expert. They will be responsible for fostering strong inter-departmental relationships as communications in the hand-off on accounts is critical to the success of the other business units.

Principal Duties

Control, direct and manage the day-to-day reporting, remitting, reconciling, researching and resolution of Servicing portfolio to investors and financing partners.Responsible for compliance with all Investor guidelines and Vericrest servicing requirements.Responsible for enforcing controls and procedures to ensure departmental functions are performed accurately and in a timely manner.Responsible for responding to changing investor servicing and accounting requirements to ensure that reporting is delivered accurately and in a timely manner.Administer Human Resource functions including staffing, salary planning, fair and consistent implementation of the policies and objectives setting for staff,Direct and lead special projects that contribute to the organization’s objectives as required.Act as the lead to retrieve and analyze information from various departmentsManage ad hoc projects and assignments as neededIdentify, track, and analyze key metrics for the business unitDevelops presentations to define the corporate messageProvides account management to existing servicing clientsCreates reports (quality, productivity, customer service, operational efficiency)Manages projects with IT to conduct testing to meet project timelinesManages client relationship through all phases of the servicing cyclePerforms related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience Requirements  

Bachelor's Degree or a combination of some college and relevant experience12+ years of mortgage experience required5+ years of private or GSE investor reporting requiredPrior experience with SBO, Blackline, and/or Servicing Director preferred

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements  

Strong knowledge of ExcelStrong attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work well with and lead a team through a project
