VP Logistics and Operations
Job Description This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth company in Connecticut. Reporting to the CEO, the VP Logistics & Operations will be responsible for site operations, logistics, warehouse, as well as regulatory and sales support with several multiple direct reports. This full-time, W2 position will be office based in the Westport, CT area and offer a highly competitive comp package.

REQUIREMENTS
15+years of proven logistics, operations and site management experience.
Strong leadership skills and an entrepreneurial spirit. 
Analytical and process-oriented mindset and the ability to make data-derived decisions. 
Proven ability to successfully merge long-term planning and short-term execution of inventory movement and delivery to customers.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of inventory management systems, logistic methods, courier/forwarder/shipping services, ERP and CRM systems.
Must be an excellent communicator with superb customer service, management and problem solving skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute strategies to support the sales goals of the
Company.
Create logistics infrastructure to support sales plans and marketing strategies,
including forecasting and managing product needs, shipping
hospital-based and distributor-based inventory, loaner inventory, training kits, trade
show, and marketing collateral materials.
Provide effective and cost-efficient inventory management, control, logistics, and
other related activities.
Communicate and foster positive relationships with distributors, hospitals and
surgeons.
Work harmoniously with the Sales, Training, Market Access,
Quality Assurance, Finance/Accounting, and other departments within the Company.
Provide logistical support and technical support as requested.
Cooperate with QA and Regulatory Affairs in complaint
management and other related requests.
Support Finance/Accounting in billing, collections, and other related requests.
 Handle negotiations with outside parties on behalf of the Company as requested.
 Tackling unforeseen issues and troubleshooting.
 Budgeting for multiple projects, including monitoring and controlling costs
 Work closely with Human Resources to implement and refine company policies and
procedures.
 Guide, direct and evaluate the work of his/her team members.
 Development meaningful KPI’s to assess effectiveness.
