VP Manufacturing Wire & Spring

As a VP Manufacturing Wire and Spring you will have the opportunity to oversee and improve manufacturing operations for wire and spring.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by defining and implementing manufacturing strategy, structure, and processes.  The team you will be working with is collaborative and innovative, and values challenging work and diversity of thought

So, what will you be doing as a VP Manufacturing Wire and Spring?

Oversee P&L and all wire and spring manufacturing operations. Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of wire and spring operations. Collaborates with sales, demand/supply planning, engineering, safety, quality and other cross functional teams to proactively develop companywide manufacturing product and service solutions. Controls manufacturing projects, overseeing plans, strategies and priorities. Coordinates with Plant Management on optimal utilization of multiple locations’ infrastructure and customer requirements. Provides input to the quarterly and annual forecasting process and P&L responsibilities. Approves projects, including those for funding and implementation of programs. Responsible for analyzing technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of company projects. Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes. Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions. Coordinate support to operations throughout the business. Interview, hire, train, and mentor the operations management team. Provide regular performance updates to the senior leadership team. Motivates, outlines and delegates methods to surpass all company goals.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field. 10-15 years of management experience in operations or related field. Ability to travel 50% Multi team management experience. P&L experience. Experience in Continuous improvement and lean.  Knowledge of Materials Management, Quality Systems, Industrial Engineering, Time Studies, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Human Resources, and Plant Engineering. Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Demonstrated project and budget management skills. Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles. Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail. Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
