We are looking for VP of Engineering to spearhead our valuation technology applications. This pivotal role entails leading software engineering teams, guiding the technical direction for advancing our platform across Mortgage businesses in addition to simplification, modernization and convergence of legacy applications. You'll collaborate closely with product and business leaders, leveraging technology to achieve business objectives while ensuring alignment with broader corporate strategies, budgets, and schedules. Embracing agile methodology and leveraging cutting-edge cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform will be central to product delivery.

Job Qualifications:

What you’ll do

Embrace Agile & exemplify XP Values (Simplicity, Communication, Feedback, Respect, Courage)Manage teams of Software Engineers and Technical Product Managers to architect and design modern, enterprise software products and solutions.Reviews business context for solutions to company challenges as well as defining the vision, technology roadmap that aligns to product/business strategy. Coach, train, and mentor direct reports, providing opportunities for employee development. Have full performance management responsibilities, develop goals and assign work to staff to ensure that broad and strategic goals and objectives are met.Delegate assignments to subordinate staff. Staff may be in multiple locations (domestic and/or international). Responsible for coordinating efforts and meeting goals, staffing and schedule requirements across locations. Develop relationships in other areas/groups.Authorize product iterations, approve designs and cost estimates for iterations, set priorities, administer budgets. Participate in long-range planning. Responsible for ensuring overall budgets, schedules, and performance standards are attained.Participate in more critical day-to-day operational issues, remove barriers, and resolve issues.

How you Qualify

BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldHands-on leadership skills, particularly in leading transformative initiatives and managing cloud operations at a large scale, while also possessing expertise in overseeing external vendors.12+ years of experience in a software development, combined with direct management experience.8+ years of experience building, leading, managing, and mentoring high-performance engineering teams.Experience in modernizing legacy applications and migration to cloud.Proven track record of leading cross functional teams that have successfully built and launched products in highly scalable growth markets.Experience in building an organization within a fast-paced and highly regarded technology company, experience with leading transformational change.Proven track record in strategic technology planning for mid-term and long-term business objectivesDemonstrated understanding in how to create value through enterprise technology, data, and application architecture principles.Positive client engagement at senior levels, managing and navigating with peers and business line leaders.High P&L acumen with proven appreciation for meeting financial commitments and delivering on time, on budget high value solutions.

Nice to Haves

Experience with mortgage, valuations and/or loan origination systems.Domain-specific industry experience in Real Estate, Insurance, Mortgage, or Lending solutions a plus.

Annual Pay Range:

244,200 - 250,000 USD
